ARCHI Placename Search

Find Archaeological Sites around a particular place.

This search will find Archaeological Sites in the ARCHI database of archaeological and historic interest within a specified distance of the place-name you choose. If the database finds more than one town of that name, you will be presented with a list of towns matching your search.

Each town will contain a link to its national grid reference number. Clicking this will start a search for all sites within a specified distance of that town.

If you are new to the ARCHI UK Archaeological Sites website, you can perform a search of the ARCHI database by entering a Postode, Placename or National Grid Reference Number into the Search Form Above ie the one called

'New User Search:'

If you would like us to keep in touch with you, for example, to be kept informed when the database is updated, you are welcome to join our mailing list by entering it into any of the specific search forms present on each search page.
